Frequently, situations just benefit from the involvement of a third party. There may be a need for a referee, chairman or sounding board. There may be a need to bring external experience to otherwise closed situations, or to represent the interests of non-operational owners, trustees or others. Quite often, but not exclusively, Hub Rural provides this service in a formal non-exec, trustee or ‘critical friend’ role.  We tend to get involved where change needs to be agreed, and then help to implement.
